A
post office in Augusta, Maine closes its window service daily for a one-hour
lunch break. For three weeks I entered the lobby as the window closed
and claimed a desk as my personal space until the window opened again
at 1:45pm. During this time many clients relied on me for information
about the post office. “Post Office (lunch break)” documents
the performances of physical confusion & frustration that ensued and
explores how we react to a space in which our intention is thwarted.
